Halloween Halloween Halloween

It was unknown all week what we were planning on doing on the fabulous upcoming holiday Halloween; we only knew that whatever it was that we did, it would be awesome! All month Kim and I had been planning on being Hillbillies...that plan, in the end, failed to become reality. On friday, October 30, Michelle, Melanie and I made trip to the DI to find items for Melanie's halloween costume. While there, I found some wonderful treasures; I love the DI! Also, Kim called us, being super upset, and informed us that her Grandma was on life support so she needed a hug and she was going to go home the next morning (Halloween morning) with her brothers and say goodbye to her.

So, for the holiday we had been waiting for all month long, Kim was not even here to enjoy it with her favorite roommates, Chelsea and Michelle. It's okay though, she had important things to attend to: Family First. Throughout the day, Michelle and I didn't do much besides homework and watch Edward Scissorhands and parts of Batman. Brian (Bradley) came down to spend the awaited holiday with us, so that was fun. Around dinnertime, we enjoyed Five Guys: Burgers and Fries. It was both Brian and Michelle's first time eating there, so I walked them through the process of ordering the perfect burger and explaining what was what on the menu. It was a success; they both loved it. Yes.

After the successful adventure at Five Guys, we went back to our apartment to figure out what we should do next. Minutes passed and we decided to go to Trafalga--a place that has grown close to might heart--and play Glow in the Dark Miniature Golf. We didn't exactly have real costumes, which was a bummer, but Michelle and I wore Masquerade Masks: Michelle wore her own and I borrowed Kim's. We looked fabulous! Mini Golf was yet another success of the night. We're not positive who won, even though Brian kept score. The point is we all did awesome--Go Michelle for getting two Hole-in-ones, even when it seemed impossible! :)

When our Miniature Golf game had ended, we returned back to our apartment, not knowing what was to come. We decided to just watch a movie and eat snacks, which is never a bad idea (unless the movie is obviously not a good choice.) I put halloween cookies in the oven, made popcorn and we sat down on the couch with our blankets and watched Coraline. Me and Kim had watched it a few weeks ago and it freaked us out more than we thought it would, so I knew what I was in for. Neither Michelle nor Brian had seen it before. Don't worry, we all survived. It's definitely a well made movie, the idea coming from the children's book by Neil Gaiman, but it's just super creepy. Moral of the story: be grateful for what you have and don't ask for more!

I did enjoy my Halloween of 2009. The ideas had come to go to parties, but they left our minds, because you never know what you'll find these days at dance parties, let alone Halloween Dance Parties. Five Guys rocks, we dominated at Mini Golf and ended with a spooky movie. That is a prime halloween right there! :D

Michelle is a mysterious maiden in the night.

Me, sporting Kim's beautiful mask
and my wonderful find (sweatshirt) from the DI.

Finally, a picture of Brian.
There he is everyone. Right there.

My roommate Melanie and her friend Jeff.
Melanie is dressed up as an 80's Rockstar and Jeff is the Three Stooges.
How silly are they?!

That Brian guy is a cutie! I'm gald you guys had a fun time on your Halloween night. I love reading your posts, it always takes me back to my good ol' college days.

p.s. the little word verification thingy was "wholight" hmm...I always want it to be a real word, this is the closest yet. Surely "wholight" has some important meaning...somewhere.
