DeAR Blog...I've missed yoU!

Sometimes it's simple to sit down at the computer and type away on the blog...and sometimes it's not. This is like a public journal, and just like journal writing, it's hard to keep up with.

For those of you who don't know, I. LOVE. THANKSGIVING. It's definitely one of those highlights of the whole year and I'm so THANKFUL that it exists. So, I'd like to thank the Pilgrims who, in 1620, settled the "new land" of North America. And I'd like to thank the Indians who helped the Pilgrims to survive on their land, leading to the First Thanksgiving in 1621. What a wonderful three days that would have been, full of eating, socializing and praying...how joyous. Other than being grateful for the actual day of Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for many other gifts in my life:
A: Agency--without agency, I wouldn't be able to make my own decisions and without those decisions, I wouldn't be able to be living my life the way I want. Decisions make life complicated, but they make life Life.
B: Books--Even though I don't read as much as I'd like to, I love to read! Reading is such a great joy. When you read, you imagine everything that the author wrote in your own way, which lets you become apart of the story. Books are wonderful.
C: Chelsea--My name makes me Me, so I wouldn't have any other name. Thanks Mama for naming me Chelsea, even though for some reason everyone else seemed to be naming their babies Chelsea around that time; how strange. Still, it makes me unique, so thank you.
D: Doors--Can you picture your life without doors? How awful would that be, no privacy whatsoever. Doors keep things secret, which can be good or bad. Open a door and discover new and exciting things: you really never know what you'll find, even if it's your own room...
E: Elevators--I am not a fan, but at the same time I am. I'd really choose to go in an elevator over going up a million stairs. Go Ahead, call me lazy, I'll just say, "No, I'm an eighteen year old college student who just walked a mile. Cut me some slack."
F: Friends and Family--I love you guys!!! I don't consider myself to have a so-called "social life" because my life is social. Without my friends and my family, I would have no one and I would be no one. This life is all about being happy and having a family, and then on top of that we each have the privilege of making and having friends. I'm so grateful for all of them, each and every one!
G: Graduation--I'm thankful that I graduated from High School! Hallelujah!
H: Heaven--Dying is just apart of living, because there's so much for after this. I'm so grateful that I know that.
I: ICE CREAM--My favorite. I love ice cream. I applaud the person who invented it, they make my life go round.
J: Jacob Black (aka Taylor Lautner)--I'm grateful for him...so grateful!
K: Kitchens--They're a lovely addition to any household. Plus, they hold the wonderful necessity of life: food!
L: Life--It all boils down to loving life. First and fore most, I'm thankful for the chance to live, it's such a blessing to get the chance to have my time on earth. Be grateful for being alive!
M: Mommys--The world would be a horrible place without Moms. They make everything better. Thanks.
N: Neverland--Sometimes I wish I could go there, because growing up is tough and scary. Peter Pan is really cool! But, while I can't go there, it gives me a place to dream about.
O: Opportunity--The opportunity for us in this country is immense, even though at times it seems like our freedoms are taken from us, they're there, and they're by far better than the "freedoms" found in other countries.
P: Pixar--Pixar movies and pixar shorts are some of the greatest movies ever be made. They're so cute, and every one brings a fresh, new movie that will always be remembered! Pixar movies are in my heart.
Q: Quilts--Blankets are my favorite; I love being warm in the winter time!
R: Root Beer--My favorite soda at the moment. I love Root Beer!:)
S: Sandwiches--Yum. I love chicken, turkey, roast beef, peanut butter, cheese, fancy...I love Sandwiches!!!
T: Time--I'm glad that we have it, and I'm glad that I can tell it (tell time.) Sometimes, though, I wish we had more of it...it seems to go by so quickly.
U: Umbrellas--Without them, we'd get wet in the rain, and getting wet in the rain is not always a good thing.
V: Vans--Technically, they're the best shoes out there, sooooo, that's why I'm thankful for them! They're beautiful!
W: Water--It's just great, in every form...including the Ocean and other bodies of water.
X: X-rays--Our bones sure do need them sometimes.
Y: Yaks--I kind of want one!
Z: Zest--Good thing there's zest in this life, or else it would surely be boring.

So, from A to Z, that's what I'm thankful for. Obviously I'm thankful for lots and lots of other things, but the rules state that you can only do one thing per letter, okay? Don't judge me.
