College.
It's here.
I'm here.
Wow!
I moved down to Orem, Utah yesterday, August 24, 2009. It doesn't feel real quite yet...I just feel like I'm having a sleepover with my friends. It took a few hours to get all my stuff in and organized, but it was well worth it. Thanks, Mom, for putting my desk together!:) I really like how my room is put together, but it still doesn't feel like I live here. I miss home already, but it's sort of fun trying to live on my own. Kim brought a sandwich maker and we used it this morning. It comes with a few recipes of sandwiches you can make with it, so we experimented; the product was interesting but good. It was funny! We made the "Breakfast Sandwich" with bread (obviously), cheese, meat--it said to use bacon or ham, but we used turkey lunchmeat-- and eggs. It was delightful.
Actual classes start tomorrow and I don't have any of my books except for one. Am I doomed? No. I'm sure they won't kill me if I don't have them yet. In my defense, I bought them last week, but I bought them on Amazon so they just haven't arrived yet. Dang. The one that I have is called Baseball's Great Experiment. Intriguing? Quite.
Well, it's time to get on with the day. Today, Kim, Michelle and I are going to the school and finding our classes so we don't look dumb tomorrow. That should be an adventure. Later we're going to go and visit my friend Kenna that I haven't seen for years and ironically we ended up at the same college. Exciting!
Guys, I'm in college. WOW!
