Leggo My Eggo

Today was one of those long days...

Except a normal long day that I'm sure you're thinking of is more likely to be bad than good...

Well...today was a good long day...

This morning it was snowing and that made me sad.

I woke up earlier than normal {which was awesome!}

As I read Harry Potter and waited for my Eggo Waffles to toast. . . .

The power went out. :(

I was the only one awake, so I was sad.

I was sad, alone and in the dark...

Kim and I read a book together today:

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

[Go Us!]

We Also:

Danced in the bathroom

Decided to be Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy

Went to three stores in the Mall

Got facials

Bought some make-up

Watched Confessions of a Shopaholic

Watched All About Steve

Ate Chex-Mix

Made sandwiches

Ate some fries at the Wal-Mart McDonalds

(Plus many other things, obviously!)

and most important...just like every other day...HAD FUN! :)

Our Own Little Horror Story

SOOOOO...

On monday, Kim and I went on a little adventure,

An adventure that began our own little horror story.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

Eh-Hem...Once upon a time....

Michelle and Kim went on a walk (Sunday, Feb. 28) starting at our apartment and ending on the shore of Utah Lake, and then back to the apartment. This walk was most likely about 4 or 5 miles all together, which is an accomplishment, so Snaps for Kim and Michelle!

Their walk let them to a blocked of road. Beyond the blockade was a normal, happy looking road, so they passed and kept walking.

Then they spotted this house that Kim thought looked rather pretty. Surrounded by blue sky, weeds and barn, she decided it would be perfect for an engagement picture or something later in life.

Unfortunately, as they got closer and then even closer. . .it wasn't so pretty anymore.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

{ SO, this is when I enter the story. }

Their walk was on sunday and Kim wanted me to see this house on Monday. We drove to a park a couple miles away, that was in the path of their walk. Right near the park was the blockade that they passed through, so we got out the car and we passed through and began our journey down the lovely, paved road.

We spotted the house.

Kim says, "There it is..."

I Say, "Oh man..."

Of course, even as we get knotted, sick feelings in our tummies, we continue to walk closer to the house. I needed to see it up close. We walk and we laugh and everything is great and happy...

And then we're at the house.

Ooooohhhh, it was spooky.

Everything about it was creepy....it was so far from abandoned.

Every window was shattered; the doors were gone; every wall we could see was trashed; graffiti everywhere...You can only imagine what could have happened there throughout the years.

There was a very uneasy feeling in the air....

So we left.

...slowly...

Neither me or Kim are very brave souls, so there was no way we were going into the house or in the back yard, or anywhere near it closer than a few feet.

We walked away, but we led ourselves to a very random wooden platform that looked so so old and so out of place.

It was all very surreal...I was being a little more brave than Kim through it all.

Happiness comes back into our lives when we decide to take a sit in the road...

And take a sit we did.

A few different sits. It was our little "In the Road" photo shoot.

All was well.

Throughout the adventure we made up our own scenarios of what could have happened at the house, and what could happen to us if we were in a real horror film.

However, everything turned out pleasant, so there was no need to worry.

Scary, happy, sad or exciting...we accept what comes our way...

And we love it! :)

Today

In case you were wondering: today....

John Lennon died in 1980.
Panama is celebrating Mother's Day.
Bulgaria's University Students have a Holiday.
It's AnnaSophia Robb's birthday.
In 1953, Dwight D. Eisenhower delivered his Atoms of Peace speech.
Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" song is named 2000's one hit wonder by Billboard.
Weezer's Rivers Cuomo is in the hospital with three cracked ribs,
internal damage and lower leg injury.
It's Happy Tuesday.

{INTERESTING.}
Did you learn something new??

One More Thing: Today is TAKE IT IN THE EAR DAY. [?????]

(I typed in "December 8" into Google Images, and this is the first picture. Hmm.)

Meat Sample

Do people actually eat Buffalo meat???

I wonder this, because Buffalo Wings aren't really Buffalo...are they? Also, because I'm trying to figure out if I was being lied to or not. Do we eat buffalo?

My roommates and I went to Target the other day for a few essential items and as we wonderful around, a Target employee approached us and asked us if we wanted a sample. At that very moment, however, I was a few feet away comparing prices for Crinkle Fries, so when I saw the sample lady I ran towards her and my roommates so I could have the opportunity for a sample. It was a meat sample; it looked like hamburger to me so I shoved it in my mouth, enjoying each and every chew. Once I had swallowed, I heard Kim saying something about "buffalo." Here is where I find out what I just ate was buffalo. Also, here is where I question the fact of whether or not it was really buffalo.

So the question is still raised: Do we eat buffalo meat?

Is this a joke???

I'm not really sure how to feel. Honestly, when I saw this, I laughed. Miley Cyrus wrote "her own" book? Really? I thought my eyes were deceiving me. Don't get me wrong, I like Miley and Hannah Montana, it's a joy to sing along to her poppy songs, but it's hard to believe that she wrote a book. Did someone trick her into this? Who's going to read it? The big question: Why???

Is it cruel to wonder why a 16 year old pop star would write a book? Notice, it's published by Disney. (Side note: Michelle's dream is to work for the Disney publishing company. Go Michelle! I hope her dream comes true!) It's a semi-thick book, but the font is rather large, there are pictures and there is an occasional "Miley Thought" (margin note) on an occasional page. How thoughtful.

Okay everyone. Who wants to be the first to dive into Miles to Go by Miley Cyrus? Be my guest. And just for kicks, I'll probably be right behind you; I'd love to see what this book has to offer!

And it's Contagious...

Story of my Life
Laughing is CONTAGIOUS!
Oh how I love to laugh.
It's a blessing.
Let us give thanks
For all that we have.

Thanks!

Now: SMILE! LAUGH!
It'll make someone's day...
Just like it always makes mine!

The picture above is of
my cute little cousin Adrienne who
never fails to make me laugh.
She is 3 and this is my all time
favorite picture of her!:)
